The first annual Industry Appreciation Dinner celebrated the year in accomplishments for Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association and the automotive industry in Mississippi. The evening featured awarding the 2019 Award of Excellence (Toyota), the 2019 Supplier of the Year (Systems Electro Coating), and the inaugural MAMA Hall of Fame inductions (Governor Phil Bryant and Dave Boyer).
The latest technologies for improving quality and productivity within the automotive industry will be showcased May - 9 at the 2019 Innovation Conference. Exhibitors will display products that illustrate emerging technologies and provide a competitive edge. The annual event is coordinated by Mississippi State University's Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems-Extension (CAVS-E) and held at the Nissan North America Plant in Canton, MS.
Over 1,100 people attended last year's conference, with exhibitors from 40 companies. Attendees gained valuable insight into new and innovative technologies to improve the quality of their products. The 2019 Innovation Conference will offer exhibitors a Demonstration Area to highlight their product and break-out sessions that will cover topics of interest to engineers and technical professionals. The conference will be held from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on Wednesday May 8 and from 8:00 am until noon on Thursday May 9. No registration is required to attend.
